 Nothing says summer like the aroma of sizzling gourmet meats on the fired up smoking hot grills. With live entertainment performances and cold beers to quench any thirst, the 1st annual St. John's Ribfest has something for everyone where no one leaves hungry!

St. John's Ribfest is ideally situated on the banks of Quidi Vidi Lake in the culturally historic area of St. John’s known as Pleasantville


The actual street location is 930 The Boulevard, which is the parking lot of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 56.

 The Canadian Progress Club is a dynamic fellowship of charitable-minded Canadians who are passionate and committed to strengthening our communities through hands-on service and fundraising, to benefit those in need. 


The Canadian Progress Club – St. John’s was chartered in March 1986 and over the past three decades has grown from a small club of 15 members to a roster of 40 members today.  


CPC St. John's has created St. John's Ribfest as a signature event to raise funds for its two primary charities - Special Olympics NL and the Vera Perlin Society.

How much does it cost to attend Ribfest?

In its inaugural year, the Canadian Progress Club (CPC) St. John's is charging an $10.00 admission fee to attend Ribfest. This fee gains you access to the event grounds and an opportunity to hear some great local entertainment that we have lined up. 

  • $9.00 tickets can be purchased at Colemans stores in St. John's and Mount Pearl
  • Children 12 and Under are admitted free
  • Same day In/Out privileges - wrist band policy in effect 
  • A 3 Day pass can also be purchased for $25.00


100% of profits will go to support CPC St. John's two main charities - Special Olympics NL and the Vera Perlin Society. 

Where is Ribfest being held?

The first annual CPC St. John's Ribfest, presented by Colemans is being held in Pleasantville, across from Quidi Vidi Lake in the parking lot of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 56 at 930 The Boulevard.

Do I pay separately for food and drinks?

Each of the professional ribbers and local food trucks charge for their food directly with the patron.  Drink tickets (beer / spirits and wine) can be purchased at our ticket kiosk onsite. Please note that we only serve Labatt, Corby and Pepsi products.

Is Ribfest family friendly?

All ages are invited to attend Ribfest on Friday and Saturday, up until 5:00pm when it will be 19+ only.  Children 12 and Under are admitted free. Unfortunately, pets are not permitted onsite.

Where can I park?

Parking onsite is limited, however there are over 600 parking spaces located within a 5 minute walking distance of Ribfest. Please use the lots provided and do not park in prohibited space as you will be ticketed.  Even better, consider car pooling or taking a taxi.

Can I bring a lawn chair? Umbrella? Nap Sack?

Yes (to all), although they may be subject to search upon entry. Then sit back and enjoy the show!

Are there accessible parking and viewing options?

Ribfest will have parking spaces reserved close to the front gate for those people who require them. Additionally, we have designated an area close to the stage specifically for patrons with mobility issues.

Can I volunteer for Ribfest?

Absolutely, please send an email to sok@sokassociates.com and we will begin a conversation to determine your availability and interest..

How can I pay at Ribfest?

There will be a number of payment options available at Ribfest. Admission and drink tickets can be purchased with cash, debit or credit.  


Purchasing food from the ribbers and local food trucks will be a combination, however most will only accept cash.


We will have two (2) ATMs onsite for those who require.
